Tim Dickmeyer, bass trombone

Tim Dickmeyer, Bass Trombone. Tim is the Executive Director of the Arts Center at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA. An Omaha native, Tim attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He has worked in the arts management field since 2001, with such organizations as Omaha Performing Arts, Omaha Symphony, Arts Incorporated, Thompson Music, and the University of Nebraska.  Tim has been the Bass Trombonist with Lincoln’s Symphony since 2000. Tim has also been a member of the Omaha Big Band, Plymouth Brass, Lincoln Municipal Band, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, and Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra. He has played as a substitute musician with numerous groups, including the Omaha Symphony, the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band and Noteables Jazz Band, the Palladium Brass Quintet, and the Nebraska Brass. Tim serves on the board of directors for Omaha Area Youth Orchestra and the Capitol Jazz Society.
