Kevin Tompkins, violin

Kevin Tompkins has been a member of the Omaha Symphony Orchestra since 2016. Originally from Greenville, SC, he received his bachelor of music degree with high distinction from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Two years later, he completed his master of music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He began his professional orchestral career while still in school, playing with the Rochester and Erie philharmonics and the Canton and Akron symphony orchestras. An active performer in the Omaha area, Kevin appears frequently with the Omaha Chamber Music Society, Omaha Under the Radar, and at the Omaha Conservatory of Music, where he has been a faculty member since 2019.
